This kid shot a firework at an armed fortification of an invading force.
It's either that or he just shot fireworks in the air at the start of Ramadan nowhere close to hitting any soldiers.
It looks like he's shooting it a giant wall with fencing on top of it. Likely the same giant wall with fencing on it where he got shot from.
The firework goes like 3 metres up in the air. The IDF must have been fearing for their lives from that hand launched mortar.
As you rightfully said, kid, they are not known to make the best decisions. That's no reason to get murdered.
