My ideal microwave has zero smart electronics. Just a physical timer along with a switch to disable the bell.
No, knobs fail much earlier than keypads, from my experience. Give me a keypad to input the exact correct time.
My previous microwave's knob would sometimes turn backwards while cooking, indefinitely increasing the timer and keeping the microwave on forever until you noticed.
Never had that happen with a keypad.
Which is exactly what my microwave has. A knob for the time and a button to open the door. Bought it for 30€ last year and its a wonderful piece of technology.
i want to kick my microwave to the curb and buy one that cannot beep. shut up garbage food heater. i dont want reminders. leave the food in there to rot for a week for all i care ! i am in control
