Oh wow I love Control and had no idea about this mythology. Didn't even think to look more into him. Just figured he was the wise old janitor that knew more and was more important than he let on

Unfortunately much of Finnish mythology comes from a single source, the Kalevala by Elias Lönnrot, which was written long after christian missionaries polluted the folklore. It's an interesting mythology, and very distinct from the surrounding Germanic faiths.
