Philips Hue will soon force users to create an account

People buying internet connected stuff where they don't control both server and client has to live with the knowledge that it can stop working at any time.

While writing this I remember that I have one of those.

Time to throw out all your expensive smart home stuff. I mean it.

Nah, they won't force me.

Because I would never buy Philips Hue, and definitely not now.
