I doubt Edmund is asking for much for them to renew it, pretty lame.
- Why would they ever give up even a fraction of their profit to license something they clearly don’t see any value in?
  This is typical corporate enshittification. Only the bottom line matters and anything from the original identity of the services is up to be cut in favour of more profits.
  
  I used to think these huge sites were "too big to fail", but man, they're really really trying to.
