I've used uTorrent to do this in the past, but I've absolutely had it with their client. I've been using qBittorrent for some time but recently I swapped over to transmission and I am really liking it. But I am now in need of the remote downloading capabilities again. However I cannot seem to get the remote access to work. I have opened the port on my router, but it is still showing that the port is closed when I test in transmission.

I understand some basics of networking but I'm not an IT guy by any means. I feel like I'm close, but i just can't seem to get it to work for me. If anyone can help that would be huge.

For reference I'm on Windows 11 Home, trying to add downloads from a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra on Android 14.

I'm not against changing clients. I just want to avoid uTorrent like the plague. Outside of that, I'm fine with anything that works for getting things to start downloading remotely.
