What is the Valve Store?
- They sold merchandise. It even had its own workshop where people could publish their own designs which were sometimes released as official merch.

I literally didn't know there was a separate store from the steam store up until this post.

- I think I know why it closed. You didn’t hear about it, I didn’t hear about it, somehow they didn’t market it very well. lol

- It was probably closed because forfansbyfans was acquired.
Since they already sell physical products directly on Steam (Steam Deck, Index, etc.) wouldn't it make sense to integrate it?
This is the first time I've heard about it. Now where am I going to buy the Half-Life T-shirt I never knew I needed?
Far as I remember, this used to be the online side of the secret shop for The International (Dota 2), then generalized a bit to sell Portal t-shirts and whatever. The company that actually ran it changed hands & names a couple times until Goodsmile bought it, and I doubt Valve care too much to find another vendor at this point.
