Can someone update me wtf all this Nicole stuff is about?

Many folks on the Fediverse got random messages from "Nicole" always starting with the string how she's a 29yo Polish girl from Toronto and inviting people over to her socials.
They come from various throwaway accounts. I personally got about 6 or 7 of those.
As Fediverse doesn't currently have a robust framework for combating such behavior, this poses a new challenge for the devs. In the meanwhile, this has become a local meme

Yep, those who's been there said there were quite some Nazis in there, but I didn't go down this rabbit hole myself, so won't claim anything.
