A bit weird that Nintendo release two Mario games so close together. Yeah, this one's an RPG but still: You usually space out the heavy hitters a bit.
Just looked it up. Yoshi’s island came out August 5th 95 and Mario RPG came out March 9th 96, so seven months apart.
I think mario rpg came around the same time as Yoshi’s islandOver here in Europe Mario RPG didn't come out at all, so no idea without looking it up.
