On Good Friday I had turned off my alarm on my phone. I then had all last week off, so guess what happened this morning ? I woke up a few minutes before my alarm is due and got up, clicked on the phone to turn off the alarm but it wasn't set. Lucky.
I'm house sitting after moving out of my place until the end of July. During the freak storm last week the internet went out and never came back on. Starlink is used at this new place and after logging into the account ( which involved two step verification, my friends being in the UK caused that to be a few day problem ) I put in "a ticket". Of course you can't simply call them. They somehow analysed it and discovered that the system is fried. Woohoo. Yesterday I received another one, refurbished, but a different type due to availability. This different one has different cables and plugs. The existing cables are run in the roof space and down walls. Having been an electrician for decades and not doing that anymore, I have zero desire to sort this out properly. I shall be rigging it up on the back deck roof and running any cables through the back screen door. I will then have to get into the settings of the TV to get things up and running again. Heck I can't even fathom out their washing machine, and haven't even attempted to use their brand new oven yet. Why is everything so complicated these days !?
Well it's Friday again. We finish at 12 today, chiro appointment at 2 pm, then I should get my hair cut, then home for beers and fun times with Elon Musks machine. Have a lovely day, have a great long weekend.

A question I ask myself a lot.
Went through the same thing RE Starlink. Had it as a backup connection for over a year and when we needed it I found it had been fried. Apparently common with Starlink - nearby lightning strikes cause it to shit the bed.
Out of warranty of course, so had to buy a new one which was different in every way so had to re-run everything.
Also despite already being a customer, we had to sign up again because it doesn't transfer from one device to another... and now our area is ineligible for the cheaper fixed location rate because it's at capacity. So we're paying the roaming rate. For a service installed in the exact same spot as the fried device.

Man I would be saying absolutely fuck that. Your claimed warranty is bs. ACL requires a product be replaced for the entire reasonable lifetime of the product.

Doesn't transfer from one device to another. Jesus, but you're still the same person right ? They must think so far ahead about how best to milk the human.

Orange Goblin - Burn The Ships
This one is heavy'ish. Great wall of sound type song with the little introspective moments in between to chill out to. Apparently Orange Goblin is classed as "stoner rock" which is a genre I actually really like when I'm trying to concentrate... Big walls of noise that block out distractions. I feel Burn The Ships is a bit on the heavier for stoner rock, but I'll take it.
Orange Goblin are an English heavy metal band that formed in the 90s, with 3 members being OGs... That's some longevity. Splitting up this year after a 30th year tour so might have left it a bit late to get on the bandwagon if you plan on seeing them live.
New genre I've never heard of. Add it to the playlist.
