Any kind of discovery algorithm. I want stars to mean something so that I discover popular things even if I’m not following anyone that specifically liked or reposted it.They could be as simple as lemmy’s algorithms (hot, active, etc) but literally anything would be an improvement to at least my experience on mastodon.
Mastodon will never actually get better with the kinds of people it attracts. Financial stability may be possible though.
