Fun fact, 'copter is what's called rebracketing. It's derived from helico- and -pter, but it's more natural to split it in English as heli- and -copter.

Also, "on the altar of science" is kind of a weird justification for getting a nice view. Wonder what sort of observations he could possibly make that would be worth it.
