‘Japanese-first’ Sanseito party goes into election leveraging unease about foreigners

I feel like this is kind of downplaying the fact that Japan is easily one of the most xenophobic countries in the world, with a healthy dose of racist as well. If you arent a born ethnically Japanese in Japan you can never be a citizen of Japan, only a national. This party has nothing to do with that being the case.
