I don't know how to explain this, but your friend is definitely not a good friend. I know she's a woman, I know her as a trans woman and her actions are a microcosm of the struggles that many trans women face in this day and age.
  I've noticed that for my friend's generation, the way we view sexual orientation is changing. As far as I know, a significant number of them are now trans. I think it's a good thing. We should support people that have been identified as transphobic, I'm glad you're not just dismissing them for it. You're making me feel more comfortable with being myself.
