Sitka (or a fictionalised version of it) is also the setting of Michael Chabon’s alternate-history noir novel “The Yiddish Policeman’s Union”. There it is the capital of a Yiddish-speaking Jewish state modelled on a Ukrainian shtetl.

Love the pictures! Give us more pictures of Sitka. I have never been able to picture it from descriptions in books.
