ELI5: How can the moon be visible and not have a shadow?
I thought it would be the same but I'm confused.

I know that this isn’t an easy thing to do. I know it’s very hard to get your head around. I mean it’s just weird. But just imagine the kind of confusion that would cause in the mind of an alien watching that moon for the first time. That’s the kind of thing I would feel upon receiving your first link.
The sun is the same distance from the Earth, and the Moon is a little further away
The moon is the biggest planet in the solar system. Its massive. You could find the solar system in any star system.
