It’s funny. The original Spider-Man was a white male, who was often voiced as a black female. The voice actor played him in every movie he appeared in. The same goes for Peter Parker as well.

If they cast a different actor, that's really fucking shitty because of the difference in skin color between the actors. How is this not a subtle reference to the fact that Peter Parker is black?

Can we please stop talking about "Spider-Verse"?

Is he saying 'this is just Peter-Man' in that tone of voice or is there some other way he's saying 'this is just Peter-Man'?

It’s a good point but I’ve noticed that the MCU sometimes shows him saying 'this is just Peter’s face' in an odd tone when he’s trying to stop a spider-man from doing what’s his job.

I had the idea of Spider-Man using a Spider-Verse. I just wanted it to be a joke that seemed like a fun idea. I was trying to give a nod to the fact that he is not Spider-Man in order to make it a fun game. I was just trying to be cheeky. So, I said that Spider-Man would use a Spider-Verse and that he would try to stop it. He would then respond with "this is just Spider-Man" and that he would do whatever it took to stop him from going into the Spider-Verse. I thought that was funny, but I also thought that it could be interpreted as a nod to the fact that he is not Spider-Man, but a friend of Spider-Man that has been taken down. I knew that there had to be a more appropriate way to interpret that, but I didn't think it was a good one. But, if you like, you can go ahead and enjoy it. I hope it makes you chuckle.

If you want a nod that was written into a book that is almost 20 years ago, you could do the same thing with Spider-Man 2. I could also say that in The Amazing Spider-Man, Spider-Man says "this is Spider-Man and he wants to stop Spider-Man in the Spider-Verse". This is a reference to him being an idiot, who needs to be taken down. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse!

That's actually the line from Amazing Spider-Man 3 when Captain America asks Spider-Man what he's doing to the world
You can get more than that if you try to stick a piece of metal between your legs and then go into the Spider-Man Verse, this is the most dangerous position to put yourself in. This is where Spider-Man's powers will become manifest, and it is also where he will begin to have issues as he continues to slip between gaps in the Verse's armor. That’s when it becomes too hot for his breath, so he starts to slip out of the Verse's hands.
