I've woken up thousands of times and I still can't get used to it.
Had a bit of a stressy day yesterday. Nothing massive but just a few things that added up. Here's a funny one that started the day. Got to a servo where I used to buy coffee, a morning pie and sandwiches for lunch. Well I've pretty much stopped that habit for now. It all adds up to a fair bit over a week.
I needed petrol as the day before on my way home I had realised that I didn't have my fuel cap key with me.
I park up, walk in and say hi to the young lad behind the counter. The smell of pies and coffee were welcoming . As I walked towards the coffee machine at the back I remembered that I had gone there for fuel for the car, not for me. So off I drive to the pumps, mildly embarrassing but not really. I check which side my petrol cap is, park up and exit the vehicle. Only to find that I had parked on the wrong side.
FML situation at this stage. So yeah that was the beginning of the day.
Here's hoping for a better day. Cheers.

I feel your pain here. Fun fact, I think most vehicles now have an arrow next to the fuel icon on the dash that point to which side the fuel cap is on. Has saved me a couple times, and I haven't even gotten a new car in like 7 years or something like that.
Haha. Here's the thing, I looked at the arrow before I drove up to the pump, and still messed up. That's what I was saying, I really wasn't having a great start to the day. (Oh that car is a 2008 model.)
(It's the longest I've ever had a car and it's an amazing piece of engineering. Subaru Outback 3.0 Premium R. Still only got 130,000 KMs on it. Ten years in November... Bit of trivia.)
