ELI5: How do we know that light has no mass and it is only a wave?

Because light can't be a thing in itself, and it can't exist in another dimension. Its existence in a world other than our own, but it could just as easily be in another dimension, just like how we can't see another human being in another dimension. Its not something we can see with our eyes. The universe doesn't exist in itself, but light does exist in other worlds. Our sun shines in the universe. The universe exists because of the sun.

That is pretty much the ELI5 of the concept but you got to be able to visualize it and use it in your own time

There is a reason I have the words "light has no mass" and why thats true. Its because the Universe itself does not have mass. The Universe is a flat, circular object that moves at the speed of light, which is the speed of the Universe. The Universe does not have mass, however, because the Universe is flat, circular. Its important that I understand this because I am dealing with something that is not only strange and impossible, but it also has interesting implications for the Universe. I have a question.! Do we not have an understanding of the universe likeliness of this? Is the reason why not there an answer in science?! Is this sub 3rd paragraph, or am I have a source?

Light is a wave, it's the only mass you'll ever see. If you were a true ally you'd try to remove all this mass and just make a circle, but like you said, mass is only a wave.

It's kind of hard to think of an additional information that could be added. At this point, I'm not sure how to answer other than to say, "We can't see light, it's all in the medium, there's no 'behind' it. If you want to go faster than light, you can do that by using some kind of wave pattern." The more information we have about the medium, the better we can guess.

- It is not correct. The wave is the property that all mass has. In the first place the mass of any object is the velocity, which can be modified by various things such as gravity. If you have a sphere that has an air mass and a solid surface it will behave like a wave. If you have a sphere with a liquid surface and a solid outer shell it will behave like a particle.

I dont need to know mass, I dont need x mass for me to understand the laws of physics, I don’t even need to think about it in order not go insane. Just like a wave, i dont need a mass to understand how i interact with the world, i just need a direction. No, that's not how it works. A wave doesn't have mass. A particle does though, a wave doesn't have an observer. The observer doesn't see it, it doesn't have mass. If a particle were to leave the observer's grasp it would leave, and that doesn't have mass. You can't use this to predict anything though, it doesn't have mass.

Yeah that might be a bit hard to explain.
