Although I've gotten better with this.
I used to write to one of our suppliers like this, always friendly, always with a personal note
I would write stuff like:
"Hey, it's been another year, thanks for the good partnership, we appreciate working with you guys. We would like to change the delivery to a new pattern on our part now which will greatly improve our efficiency in saving some work and commute hours, I hope it will fit your schedule. Hope to hear from you soon, best wishes Lupus "
And I always got replies like "Works for us, cheers Mike"
So I just started to mirror his style at some point " Hey Mike, new schedule is Thursdays at 12, please confirm. Cheers Lupus" and I was super happy how I managed to fire of that Email in under 30 seconds. The first reply I got was the same way I used to write them, Mike even made a joke in it!
Now I'm confused and back to square one.
Reading emails is easy. Responding promptly without the desire to reread and micro edit every word I selected is the hard part.
I feel personally attacked.
