They are more likely to be drawn into the war due to hosting us bases and military not because of pinoy migrants in tawian province.
I am not really sure what they think they could do? Other than get their people killed for no reason. If America can't beat China in the SCS how is The Phillipines gonna do it? This just reeks of posturing to me. They'd probably chicken out if any actual fighting happened. Maybe do the stuff europe did for Ukraine at the most. Sending equipment, or some volunteers.
- This. If the Europeans, who are even bigger American bootlickers and who hate Russia far more than any Asian country hates China, didn't dare to get directly involved in Ukraine, then nobody in Asia is going to get directly involved in Taiwan. Especially since they all rely on China trade far more than Europe ever relied on Russia. This idea that the US can get all the countries around China to fight China is a fantasy.
  
  The only reason any of them do this shit is just to posture and chest beat because they know China is a peaceful nation and doesn't want to go to war. At this point, there is a part of me that wishes China would just go ahead and take Taiwan back. Just so we cpuld see all the shocked Pikachu faces from these cowards as they run for the hills.
does the Philippines not like having alive soldiers and intact military hardware or something?
I'm really curious what will be the take of Bayan-adjacent groups on this. Will they hate China more than American imperialism, and say that this is kinda justified? Truly a paradoxical situation for them.
