Eli5 How is it that many animals can survive in captivity for a whole year or longer, while humans have died out entirely in the wild?
Transgender and intersex, depending on how you look at it. I was born male but transitioned as female.
My first pet was a cat (a male cat) when I was very young. I spent all year of that pet living with me, doing my best to keep the cat up and well in tune. I'm still a male cat but still identify as a female. I've had a lot of animals of all shapes and sizes over the years, but I still don't think of myself as the last human on earth. It's a different thing to me when I think of myself as a dog or a cat, I am still a human, but that dog is gone. I was on a small farm in a very warm climate country, and the temperatures were very mild. There was no shade, and I had to walk in the mornings and evenings to keep the animals warm, as there was no outlet. I spent a lot of time walking them, feeding them, and cleaning them. I'm still alive, but not in any sense that I've "gone feral". The animals are doing very well, and I think they're doing well in my care. They're getting plenty exercise, and I've gotten them to walk and stay in a good mood, as I'm very happy with them. They're doing great!

It is a question that I often hear. The majority of animals are still alive after 1 year of captivity, while some of us humans are dead. And of course there are more humans in captivity than animals, so some animals are simply in a much better position than others.
It's a very interesting observation that those who are still alive after the 1 year period are doing better than those who are dead. I'm going to try this again tonight, but with my blood-spattered face covered in gore so bad it makes me want vomit for days! The thought is still very frightening even though nothing happened last time around as the game had no real plot at all until some guy was talking about his dog dying when he died from an arrow wound or something like THAT (in reality there were lots more reasons why someone would die than just getting killed). It is terrifying. The way it's been happening is horrifying, I want to see how it is in the wild and to have hope for the animals that can be left alive. That said, I feel the writing style can be a bit overused since there are too many details to take into account. This was my first time writing anything in my head, so any advice or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks for all the kind words

This is a good question lol. I just feel like a lot of people are too critical of the "humans are dying out in the wild" angle. Humans are not that far removed from wild animals. The truth is that if a large portion of the animals are kept in captivity, it is hard to make a difference. For the last few years, I've been doing my own research into animal husbandry. My research has been quite varied, but my goal is to show you all that you can do to help animals. For the uninitiated, the difference between a dog and a cat is very important. A dog has a lot more brain cells than a cat. For more background info, my wife and I have a small dog who is not the best behaved. He spends most of his time sleeping, but I do have a few rules. He will not eat while in a cage, he will not get food while in a cage, he will not play fetch or catch, he will only sleep when I am there, and he will only sleep when I am not there. I also have a few rules that are more strictly enforced. 1. No talking. 2. No playing fetch or catching. 3. No chewing/draining. 4. No leaving food. 5. No using a ladder. 2. No speaking. 3. No using a phone. 4. No using a computer. 3. No using a walker. 4. No using a chainsaw. 5. No using a gridiron. 6. No using a saw. 7. No using a flashlight. 8. No using a flare gun. 9. No using a kite. 10. No using a net gun. 11. No using any kind of siren. 12. No using any kind of ladder. 13. No using any kind of ladder diggers.
You could do better by following this simple rule: If I don't like what someone says then say so clearly! This way people will know where they stand before responding if necessary...
