This is asinine. It's not either or.
There's a difference between stopping contributing to a problem, and fixing the problem.
I can stop throwing clothes on the floor of my room, that doesn't magically make the existing clothes disappear.

Don’t let perfection be the enemy of good. Yes, we’re picking up small organisms, but we also need to get the plastic cleaned up.
And more importantly, stop making the problem worse constantly.
Also, correct me if I'm wrong but aren't these robots about getting garbage out of the water ? Sure they might pick up some organisms but I assume the vast majority of the ones big enough to actually get picked up can easily escape, and the smaller ones just pass whatever filters it has and get thrown out with the water
Why are you using your assumption checking machine to broadcast your assumptions instead of, idk, checking them?
