it's going to spell doom for venezuela if the american navy starts intercepting these boats like the isreali's do.
I don't think the US is capable of fielding a long-scale embargo or invasion of Venezuela sufficient to capture regime change. Venezuala isn't an island like Cuba is, it's much larger as well, with allies in the surrounding areas.
i suspect that any embargo would be part of plan to choke off revenue from china while the americans start arming and training right wing groups in venezuela.
is the same tactic that they've used in other large latin american countries like mexico in the past; using the american military to choke off revenue while fomenting violence within the country at the same time to make non-maritime trade as difficult as possible.
