More likely it was for making plans and then never following through on them.

I'm no expert on Classical-era Egypt, but I would presume similar sentiments there, lmao
Fun fact: the Roman Emperor Claudius was such an enthusiastic gambler than not only did he write a (sadly now lost) book on dicing, but had a special stabilized table installed in his carriage so he could gamble with his friends while he traveled.
