Utah governor says the motive in Kirk shooting is not yet certain but the suspect was on the left

Cox said the suspect’s partner was transgender, which some politicians have pointed to as a sign Robinson was targeting Kirk, the founder of Turning Points USA, for his anti-trans views. But authorities have not said whether it is relevant as they investigate Robinson’s motive.

Of course this fucking scumbag had to put out that their suspect was dating a trans woman as soon as he possibly could, and of course he misgendered her while talking about it, and of course there are dog shit conservative sites out there putting out her full name and any other info they can find on her

The messages in the car windows in that thumbnail... "RIP Charlie Kirk" and then "choose kindness".
Kirk was frequently saying intolerant things about people he deemed to be his team's enemies. Which could account for the majority of the population. I agree with some others that it was wrong that he was assassinated. But his legacy must not be sugar-coated, and we shouldn't pretend that he didn't say some hurtful stuff to mostly innocent people.
- Yeah, there's a reason I morally and tactically oppose political assassination. Morally because Yeah, if someone deserves to die it should be handled with utmost care and deliberation. But tactically because it always fucking works against you. I'm not sad he's dead, but if it was someone on my side I'd be fucking pissed.
Did he elaborate that yet because last time I saw CNN all he was like "nah."
They want to have a civil war based on lie vibes...
- Nope, no proof or details, but he was on there and Meet the Press and a bunch of other shows today pushing the same two talking points (Robinson was dating a trans woman and was radicalized by the left), so, yeah, this is what they're going with and it's going to be more important than ever before that people step up to protect trans folks because the right very obviously is trying to tie this to them any way they can

Does the suspect's political affiliation actually matter for the purpose of meaningful discussion? It seems like a distraction.
Someone is guilty of murder, regardless of their political beliefs.
Now let's all sit back and laugh at Kirk finding out that it's his blood watering the Tree of Liberty

  If he was aligned with the left, the right will say " of course it was them. They are very violent. We should kill them". Otherwise the left will say "of course it was them, they just want a distraction from the Epstein files"

I had assumed, seeing the headlines that the suspect was being uncooperative, it meant that he wasn't appearing at all left wing so they couldn't use him for their means yet
