I get your point, but in this instance he only needs to convince his followers of this radical left angle. The rest of the population already knows it's not true, and they won't believe that Charlie Kirk's death was caused by the left.
He will just make up some shit and whip his followers into a frenzy; it will be like Jan 6, he lied and told them they would lose their country so they stormed in without thinking about it.
