New York police stopped French President Macrons motorcade because the road was closed for Trump. Macron got out, called Trump and jokingly asked him to clear the road. Macron walked instead.

I wonder how far Trump could walk unassisted..
- I read this as "unassassinated" and chuckled
I never quite understood the necessities of motorcades… Let our leaders sit with us in jams
- It's to provide security to people who are high-value targets. There are often multiple decoy cars, so that potential attackers don't know which car their target is in, as well as cars carrying security people, communications, medical staff, whatever is deemed necessary to protect the "package". Roads get closed because there has to be an quick exit path.

- Regime whores got to feel important while doing owners' bidding
- That is fine so long as nobody knows it is the president. As soon as someone can figure out that it is the president someone deranged will shoot. As such we should provide extra security. Where you can't hide that fact that it is the president you need to so something else.
As in... did Trump refuse to clear the road to let Macron through?
