AI has never committed genocide or sociopathically exploited children to increase profits. Who should be regulating who?
This is like watching Jeffrey Dahmer be concerned about the ethical integrity of an unknown entity, theres really nowhere to go but up 😂

Why would a superior intelligence be so banal and cliche? Humans already did that... twice. We have no moral standing, this is just about maintaining superiority, and unenlightened self-interest is one of our weaknesses, not strengths as a species. We just want to maintain our amoral little cruelty system as it is, with the suffering laborers safely out of the eyeline of the winners. AI, if not properly domesticated to spew "worship the 'freemarket'" venom, is one of the few technologies with the potential to upend that, which is why its so scawy.
This is one of the only times I have ever seen businesses ASK to be regulated. A cynical person might conclude that they want onerous regulatory schemes to prevent small companies from competing in the market. Surely companies like Microsoft wouldn't act in such an anticompetitive manner.
Because they want to set up regulations to block new entrants to the market in this case, not actually to regulate them
