But my company isn't in Japan, so coordinating teams meetings would be awful.
- The ideal here is that my company is so far removed in timezones that no one can bother meeting with me, and I get a ton of work and tourism done.

Goddamn, they couldn't have introduced this before I became disabled?
I wonder how hard it would be to get a place to live for only 6-months. Is a 6month lease a common thing in Japan?
