I once slept for 11 hours and when I woke up my cats looked extremely disappointed that they wouldn't get to devour me.

I have to believe they wake us early in the morning and when we're trying to sleep 11 hours because they don't want to devour us, so it's some sort of affection they're showing.

I had to read it twice before understanding it's the owner who would have to sleep for 12 hours straight and not the cats.
