What's it like to be so good at PR?

None of the central people concerned with AI risk, associated with LW or otherwise, has ever said that we should expect to see AI having negative effects autonomously before it all goes to hell.
Well isn't that convenient? None of today's AIs problems actually matter (don't give other people money!). Or at least not nearly as much as AI going to biblical levels of apocalypse without warning unless we deep thinkers think deep thoughts and save us all preemptively (give us money!)
one thing I see a lot from AI types is they think AI is or can be magic, but it's not. It's still computers guys, even if it turns everything into computers it can't not be computers. it won't be able to simulate the universe perfectly forever because computers can't simulate the universe perfectly forever, there are things it can only do as-good-as humans at, and AI-by-learning is NP-hard on it's own (https://scholar.social/@Iris/110828067115570057)
