- Not to defend China at all, but... this happened it many countries, it's far from a China exclusive.

Thinking about this for a moment, this may be why they support authoritarian regimes. The do not differentiate between making a choice yourself, and being told to do something by the authorities.
- Probably the same types who don't get how a promiscuous person can be raped, or that their promiscuity somehow invalidates it.
  It's like "if some people want it, it's okay to force it on others. If some people want it under certain conditions of their choosing, it's okay to force it on them in other circumstances."
