Deep Sea Diver - What Do I Know
Deep Sea Diver has been around for a while but I haven't listened to their stuff before. The new album is out today/tomorrow. I will go and have a listen.
Kim Deal - Big Ben Beat
No only does Richard Ayoade, AKA Moss from the IT Crowd, direct this new video, his wife and children also appear in it. Fay Milton from Savages is the drummer, having also contributed drums, strings and synth to Kim's album. I think it's a pretty neat vid.

Horsegirl - Frontrunner
It's already Friday 14 Feb where I am, so that means that I have been able to stream the new Horsegirl album Phonetics On and On a couple of times, over breakfast. I really like it. This track is the ninth of the 11 songs on the album.
Destroyer - Hydroplaning Off the Edge of the World
New track from Mr Bejar and co. New album coming in March.
Rocket - Take Your Aim
The recommendation algorithm served this band from LA up for me today. Solid track with distinct Siamese Dream vibes, perhaps? The EP they released in 2023, that this track is also on, is quite good.
They have apparently signed with Transgressive, so I would expect that an album is on the way.
Bob Mould - Here We Go Crazy
Title and opening track from Bob Mould's upcoming album.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps (dir Matt Shakman)

Lambrini Girls - Big Dick Energy
This is from Lambrini Girls' debut album, Who Let The Dogs Out. released this month. The band are from Brighton on the south coast of England.
LP Gavin - (Excluded From) The Banquet Of Life
from the album Trials, Tribulations, Deliberations, Pratfalls, Reprieves, Etc.
This chap appears to be from London, however he seems to be very much channelling Stockton, CA's finest. i.e. Pavement.
What do you think?
Throwing Muses- Summer Of Love
Moonlight Confessions album coming in March.
Horsegirl - Switch Over
Latest song from Chicago’s Horsegirl. Album release imminent. This sounds very Flying Nun Records to me. I like it.
Swervedriver -Volume Control
Forthcoming new EP, The World's Fair

The mood in Moscow and other cities remains upbeat with packed restaurants and busy luxury stores, but a combination of record-high interest rates and persistent inflation is increasingly threatening forecasts for another year of slower, but still war-fueled growth. “A relatively good period for the Russian economy, which was based on previously accumulated resources, is over,” said Oleg Vyugin, an economist and former top central bank official. “High inflation eats away at all that seemingly short-lived success.”
