And there'd be no Aragorn to be a good pal and extend the good lifespans of the realms of Men, so Gondor would never get a new king and the realms of Men would likely fall to evil a bit into the third age.

They have repeatedly said that no one died in the event at all, with no distinction made about it happening on the square or not. I'm glad that doesn't seem to be what you think, but i also don't appreciate being told what I've experienced.
