Can I hear an argument from the other side because I clearly don't understand how this argument isnt sound and isn't being screamed by every talking head on TV, news, op ed, etc.

I tried to use Linux back in 2005. After spending five hours trying to get Wi-Fi to work I vowed id never recommend it to anyone.

I think the point is, most people don't view the economy through the same economic lens as an economist, or the Fed. People view the economy through their lens of how far their money goes.

Sure, McDonalds, Zuck, Musk, Starbucks, Boeing are all doing well... but I just paid 8 bucks for two cups of small drip coffee at my local shop, and 40 bucks to feed my family of four at McDonalds.

Except to our farmers. Well subsidize the shit out of them.

We play lethal company as a group and one of us plays on a steam deck. He can't use the monitor or figure out the walkie talkies, but he can at least play with us, so it's a win.

I can't for the life of me think that this will be good for them though. Food delivery services are notoriously shitty/slow. If I order a pizza and have to wait for an intendent person to come pick it up and deliver it when ever is convenient for them? Thats not gonna work for me... and I would be loud and boisterous to the company.

Anecdotal for sure, but I can't remember the last time I actually had to step foot in a bank. I'd argue that banks CAN cut staff as I can't be alone in not really needing to go into a physical shop to bank anymore. All my banking requires an appointment.

However, fast food, in particular pizza places, need delivery drivers. Especially pizza hut. I can't for the life of me think that people are going to go in and sit at a pizza hut anymore.. what is it, 1988?

Inflation, shrinkflation, record corporate profits, rising home prices, the billionaire class getting orders of magnitude richer, and my paycheck going up a mere three percent a year... thats sort of why I feel like the economy sucks a bag of dicks.

I'm still doing well. I have a house. I have a car. I have a job.... but in comparison I'm not moving forward. So that is why I feel like the economy sucks.
