  • It looks like I can’t extrude in the air either. Maybe I didn’t get all the gunk out of the nozzle the first time I’m just clueless on how to. I tried soaking it and acetone and digging stuff out and that didn’t seem to do it and the only pen I have doesn’t go through the hole in the nozzle. It’s too thick. It’s sitting at about 240 right now so I’m hoping That it just melts I guess.

At this point, I’m wondering if it’s not just worth buying a new nozzle and calling it a day

  • Our group plays Sunday evening twice a week and thats worked out pretty well since its the end of the weekend. Grant it only two of us are married and the other married guy is the only one with kids though. Maybe the end of the weekend would be a better time?

We also just keep playing if someone has a vacation planed. Their character earns half xp and is basically in town or at the tavern in game. Would something like that work for your group? That might help eliminate some of her frustration when trying to plan family events.

  • Decide if you want to print or tinker with your printer first. I personally don’t like the tinkering portion and learned that after it was too late. Don’t be afraid to save what you’ve got now and buy the right printer not the one that is easily picked up right now

  • Horse. A friend of mine brought some from Iceland and was kind enough to share. Its somewhere between pork and beef to me.

The fermented shark he brought back on the other hand, was the worst thing I have ever tasted. The smell alone cleared the room, and as one chef instructor said, “it smells like dirty pussy”.

  • Thank you! We’ll see how this goes, amd I’ll pick up Fallout Fixt for sure. I’m excited to jump into them since I never had the chance to before.

I may slip to two if you think that it might be more enjoyable

  • Not yet, I’ve only ever printed PLA and heard that it will never get water tight. Grant it, I have a print I can test when it finishes up in a day or two.

I thought about running multi-material but would need to get that add on that can splice in filaments to run through the Neo’s single extruder ( maybe the sidewinder x1?), but can’t remember what it’s called to look at reviews

  • Ultimately I’m printing a lot of MTG commander deck boxs with screw tops and would like them to include a seal so their water tight. I’m also starting to design some camera adapters that need to set outside for a lengthy period of time.

I got lucky with mine since neo came with an all metal hot end but haven’t done any upgrades. Long term I was pretty much just planning to use this one until it stops printing, but now this is a full blown addiction and I’m hoping to get a second printer with multiple hot ends when my wife and I get get some more space.

Thank you for the ASA tips! Do you have any recommendations on printing that material? I think I overlooked that filament.

  • Thanks for the tips! It sounds like I’m in for more of a project that I initially suspected. I’ll have to check out Prusa’s guide amd see what it takes to move the electronics.

Luckily I’ve left the printer untouched in terms of pla upgrades.
