Im getting conflicting info on this, another user is telling me that GMDX changes too much. Probably just going to have to read the changes for each suggested mod. Im just worried im going to read something that might otherwise have been a very interesting moment within gameplay.

Odd, another user just stated that GMDX is more or less just a graphics and QOL overhaul. I might just have to read through the changes and decide for myself. I purposefully havent looked this stuff up myself to avoid spoilers, I might just have to bite the bullet.

awesome! looking for stuff just like this. out of curiosity Will reading the game play tweaks prior to playing spoil anything? also are there any major changes from the original works or is it purely aesthetic/QOL? Is that because you failed the stealth checks or simply out of frustration lol? Is the stealth more rewarding like a puzzle? does it give any benefits at all? like for example some games will give lore dumps when hiding from basic enemies. I'm a huge fan of when games use background conversations as exposition.

I'm pretty good at FPS games is it impossible or just unreasonable? am I limited by ammunition or my health pool and cover opportunities?

there is definitely something to be said about nostalgia goggles but to be honest going back and playing the games from my childhood (and older titles like this) there's just something missing from modern gaming that makes it feel mildly soulless. my next game on my backlog is Thief, and I just recently replayed the original Half-Life so All aboard the nostalgia train. o7

Very helpful, I do find it hard to strike a balance with the efficiency of LLMs and the lack of accurate data. While I may reach an answer, I may end up spending an equal amount of time trying to create a concise prompt versus just doing the hard research and reading documentation. I wish there was a way to know how in depth of a question im asking is. Aswell as what type of surrounding knowlege might be useful in accomplishing my goals.

Good example: I had was attempting to set up a fancy custom hyprland setup. This is what is behind the worries about free speech being blocked. The problem is that free speech can have consequences, for example someone using AI to generate fake images of someone and posting them claiming free speech, or others goading someone who has posted suicidal thoughts.

The payment processor debacle happened due to an austrailian activist group called collective shout they directly attacked payment processors by filing complaints to american payment processor companies. Nothing to do with following international commerce laws. I PROVED that there was no direct corrilation between accepting international payments and following local laws. The excerpt from the ofcom website admits that they have no direct power or laws backing their complaints, and will attack using the same underhanded tactics used by collective shout. not to mention the payment processors rolled back this decision in light of back lash.

4chan intends to ignore these complaints. if they do, sure they can attack the payment processors. But there is no law that states "If 4chan accepts payments in the UK that they must comply." as youve previously implied. True, but why does it matter here? The original letter to 4chan stated that they are violating the Photo ID based online safety laws, nothing about their intent to follow commerce laws.

I mean 4chan is the hub for degens so i can understand why youd want to see them lose. But I think this sets a bad precident If anything it should be up to the UK to block in and out going traffic to 4chan. (Dont think they can do this either though)

nothing was done then. Probably same thing is going to happen here. MAYBE roblox gets slightly better modderation, but i doubt it. The inceased modderation could also make the game unplayable for innocent users.

For skeptics like yourself the constant stream of misinfo will have you fact checking senseless data that you instinctively know to be true or false based on observation, wasting your time. however when presented in the news or by aquaintences It challenges you to correct them, this is a job for a team of the same magnitude as the news stations themselves.

To answer your question, there are organizations that do fact checking but im also skeptical of those because who watches the watchers? How do they afford to exist? Do the fact checkers have bias themselves? Its a never ending cycle of bullshit.

No doom and gloom though (they want you to feel defeated) because there is still tons to appreciate, so many people are waking up. Lots of individuals attacking "the system" from every possible angle all across the world. All it takes is some mildly uncomfortable conversations with the people you care about, and patience, LOTS of patience.
