I don’t think I ever got actual advice from anyone on how to be a man.

I did have an excellent role model in my dad though. He said a lot with his actions. I try to pay that forward with my boys.

Given that Musk just recently made a hand gesture that was widely interpreted as a Nazi salute at Donald Trump's inauguration…

I really wish we would stop adding all the extra words around this.

If you play his nazi salute next to an actual video of Hitler doing his nazi salute it is effectively a frame by frame copy.

He did it twice to make sure we knew it wasn’t an accident.

Stop with all the “some people might have interpreted it as a Nazi salute under certain circumstances and at the right lighting and when the moon is waxing crescent” bullshit.

I wish we could stop using terms like “blasts”, “slams”, etc in the news.

I feel like it’s hard to take even very serious things seriously when it sounds like middle school me drafted it.

We’re literally pushing back on treating people with “dignity and respect”.

What a fucking joke this administration already is.

That number does not make sense, it’s either 19M or 1.9M. Let’s be generous and assume that trailing 1 was a typo (consistent with the commas).

This would mean ghost guns accounted for 0.01% of all the gun traces. A number so negligible as to be irrelevant.

I’m standing by the “raised by 1000%” being a bit of sensationalism.

From what, and to what? I loathe when I see percentage based metrics because they’re so incredibly easy to manipulate.

Until proven otherwise I’m going to assume that there was 1 and now there are 10. That’s 1000% increase for sure, but I’m not sure 10 instances is worth sweeping legislation.

“1000% increase” sure does sound scary though.

I think we’re just testing the old adage that a lie told often enough becomes the truth.

The rosin is a bit of an acquired taste; I prefer the dark rosin.

On the surface it seems like a good idea: if the home isn’t going to be your primary residence you pay extra—a lot extra—to curtail a housing shortage caused in part by foreigners buying and inflating.

That said… if the issue there is anything like it is here in the states, the buyers will have more than enough capital to buy anyways and just pass the cost along to tenants… making the problem worse?
