  • Republicans would go out and get rabies in solidarity. They'd say it wasn't dangerous. It'd fuck up medical stats so hard.

  • So the penalty for insider trading is $200. That's just a Pay to Play fee for illegal market trading. Let's put some jailtime on that act, FFS.

  • There are very popular romance novels so why not? 😜

  • I'm so glad Israel is taking criticisms of genocide seriously...by enabling them for all to see.

  • How do you think any of those are getting goods? If you ban trucks you'll just get cargo vans and then lots of smaller cars. Or they'll go out of business and people will complain you can't live in the city and move to suburbia. Again.

  • Well clearly they can. They'll always know things before they happen that will affect the stock price.

  • I don't understand why people who have insider knowledge are ever allowed to sell or buy that stock. Seems made for corruption.

  • Internet is not a base requirement like water. Without food, water, shelter, you die. Without internet and electricity you are left behind, you don’t die. It should be regulated like electricity

Yes because being homeless and without power will definitely ensure you can stay alive. This whole argument doesn't make sense. Electricity doesn't need to be regulated like water because for the most part, there can't be tainted electricity. But you can still get your water cut off just like power so clearly the government doesn't ensure you have ready access to it.

Oh and shelter is a base requirement but we still let people die in the streets. And for those people we aren't supplying them with water: they can drink from what few public fountains exist in parks...if the cops don't beat them for "loitering".

No, internet should be a requirement to be provided to everyone like we regulate water and electricity and (used to) telephone service.

  • I got Tidal since I read they pay artists a bigger share per track played.

Not a significant amount and they, along with all streaming services, have massively cut artist payouts in recent years. There aren't really any good platforms for artists. Only labels get any amount of meaningful money.

  • Still, raising the tax nearly 2.5% on working people is bullshit. Hey guys, we know inflation is hitting hard and most of you haven't had a meaningful raise...ever but how about if we lower your current and all future earning potential by 1/40th?

  • You can definitely hear it. You can hear someone on a voice call or talk radio pretty clearly just walking near them.

But this is really asking about the cars you can hear coming down the block that sounds like they're trying to work out sore muscles with their subwoofers.

  • If we could engineer and exterminate all ticks and mosquitos we'd all be so happy.

  • A lot of the US is trying to grow grass that isn't suited for it's climate. It's why it takes so much maintenance. Florida has that problem a lot. Maryland lawns don't even need watering and the grass is great with little encroachment or weed problems. It's a bit more varied with dandelions and wild aliums but mostly grass.

  • This guy is just John Ham's character from the fifth season of Fargo.

How is he not in jail or under intense investigation by the DEA or FBI?

  • If you're storing a lot of liquid you'll probably want to pour it out later. In that case square is better as the corners will provide a bit of spout action.

  • Oh yeah, Hyrax. I was wondering what was up with these funky beavers.

  • Pretty much the same with movies of the superhero and other genres. You gotta start at the beginning and only in the last 15min is Surf Dracula at max power. Then you get a couple of uninspired sequels (because sequels print money regardless), and eventually a reboot where they retell the same old Dracula-Finds-Surfing-In-His-Time-Of-Grief origin story but with a younger actor.

  • Do they work like ReVanced Youtube and just remove ads/restrictions while keeping account properties? Or do they work like NewPipe and block all the algorithm stuff, use their own accounts/playlists?

  • I see Hollywood is totally out of ideas again.
