The part where he said his trial was rigged was where I got really worried.

Denying the election and encouraging a failed insurrection was where I realized this was our last chance. If Trump gets elected again he's going to do everything he's been promising and threatening. He'll make Project 2025 a reality and the United States will never see another real election again prior to a civil war. And honestly, we haven't seen a fascist dictatorship be overturned by it's populace before. We've only seen outside forces overthrow it and there aren't any that could pose a threat to the US.

If Trump wins the election in November, America is done. Probably forever, or until it collapses from within as Russia is threatening to do.

Yes, they still exist. I am both salaried and clock my hours. I have to clock 80/2 weeks and I need approval to clock more than that. If I do, I get comp time or overtime if pre-approved. Including for traveling for work. I don't clock my actual times, just hours worked per day. So no annoying 15min accountability that I've heard of from other companies. I think I technically have to take a 30min lunch but I haven't heard noises about that for like, a decade. We've got hours we need to be available technically as well (9-3). I'm also 80% telework and I despise that 1 day a week I sit on the same Teams calls in the office.

FYI: don't lie to the IRS about cheating on your taxes. Rich people have tons of ways to avoid contributing to society. But if you lie to the IRS about it and they find out, you're fucked.

Weirdly Catholic schools in America are often the least conservative and pushy on doctrine. I went to a Catholic school in NC and had the same experience essentially. Never got any brimstone and the priest had a few academic lectures on parts of the Bible.

Secret service are now his jailers. He gets TV but no access to communications outside supervised visits and phone calls.

It's almost always a risk to other people. I can't think of a vaccine that is for a non-communicable disease. Not getting vaccinated means you can become a carrier or get sick and spread the illness. This means that herd immunity is lowered and people who can't get the vaccine, or those who did but whose bodies didn't adapt to it, are vulnerable to that person spreading it. Not getting vaccinated can mean you are liable (not legally) for other people's deaths!
