My brother in Christ leftists weren't even in this primary. Ffs one of the options was a damn antivaxer. Are you really gonna say the DNC would be accepting of actual leftists when they seem more fine having an antivaxer represent them? Actual leftists were running third party like the PSL party with Claudia de la Cruz or getting thrown out of every public Dem appearance for demanding them to speak against Israel and stand up for Palestinians. At the very least allow for someone from Palestine to speak on stage at a conference in front of the public, but that was asking too much.
A big need is inspiring younger people to vote and get them to believe voting is important. That's an extremely tough battle and will only get harder the more establishment people the DNC puts up and the longer we're stuck with a FPTP system. Young people want to hear they'll be cared for just as much as older people. That they'll have safety nets despite not having worked for as long, that they can more easily afford to live a decent life without much sacrifices. They also want to know that their friends and family will be cared for. This means no taking a "state's rights" stance on people's freedoms and protecting those they know abroad, including those in the middle east.
This can also mean not playing nicely in politics to try and keep appearances. Trump is a dumbass, but a lot of young people liked him cause he went on the very vocal offensive and didn't hold back a single thought. He was comfortable and confident in saying any stupid thought that entered his head. Dems care too much about appearances for them to sink that low which is harming them in this new era of politics and social media.
What? No I read the Wikipedia page you linked which states when each state had their primary and also states when everyone dropped out of the race. I saw in the article that my state, Missouri, had the primary after every other choice had left which lead me to realize why it felt like there was no primary. There basically wasn't one by the time I could have had a say in anything.
Ah I see. The lack of any form of election was cause everyone basically dropped out before my state got a say. So the only options were Biden or Uncommitted (which did get a significant amount of votes).
You could at least cite your source of a 2024 primary happening. I've voted every chance I get for everything big and small since 2016 and I don't remember getting to vote for Biden or any other option in a Democratic primary in 2024.
This has been my mindset when it comes to cutting out the need for work. I know tons of people that love to work either cause they love what they do and find it fulfilling or would be driven insane from not working and wouldn't know what to do without it. I also know lots of other people who can't stand working and won't find any form of work enjoyable or fulfilling and only do it cause they're forced to at the threat of homelessness and starvation. Give people UBI and those that don't want to work some lower quality housing (not something falling apart, but like a studio or 1 bedroom apartment) and some basic food and drinking water (not talking the finest dining, but the minimum to still get all the necessities to live with extras being given to those with medical needs verified by a doctor that require a little more).
Problem with voting for the people that support this on a national scale is you'd have to get past the ingrained mindset people in America have of a third party never winning. O can guarantee you no Democrat will have support this and even if the someone wanted to pull a Bernie and just run as a Dem, but actually be a small bit more left than the corporate Dems, they'd fail hard cause the DNC doesn't want to actually do anything.
As a kid I cried out of frustration while playing Dragon Ball Z Budokai during the Super Saiyan Goku vs 100% Full Power Frieza fight. It was just a massive difficulty spike that I'd constantly struggle with. My mom would make fun of me for it for a long time.
For anything more recent, I did cry in Danganronpa V3 at the end of the fourth trial. It was the only time my favorite character in one of these games died and the reason it happened sent me into a batch of sadness that lasted a few days where I just refused to keep playing the game.
Almost done with Shadow the Hedgehog. I've currently gotten 7 out of the 10 endings required to face the true final boss. I think next will be the original Starfox.
There's some specific ones I miss from Reddit. Stuff for sites like Letterboxd, Serializd, and Backloggd. One for cartoons would be nice (I searched, but the only thing I found here was one for comics). Not sure if there's a community here that would be good to ask for recommendations in for like TV shows and videogames.
This is my problem with it. He can do all the symbolic theatric shit he wants, but until he acknowledges what Israel is doing is genocidal then it just seems like a waste of time.
I like Bluesky a lot, but it's more a Twitter replacement than Reddit. Harder to talk to dedicated communities for things on there. Like if want show recommendations, I'd rather go to a community/subreddit that has 92k members than asking the 80 followers I have on Bluesky (only like 10 or less aren't bots I'm pretty sure or would even see my post) with the small chance a couple non-followers would see it and maybe comment.
Been playing Mario Kart DS for the first time. Did all of 50cc and just have a couple cups left on 100cc. I forgot these older entries tie unlockables to difficulty.
