  • Gurl, back in the late 60s we used to trade these numbers like they were pokemons. Then the problem became how to find a library that was willing to admit that they stocked them. I kinda miss the old days of the card files in drawers. You never knew what you could find in them there drawers.

  • I have to be honest here. None. Not really. I'd rather have cheese in it's unmelted state. And I go through phases where I can't stand any cheese, and other times I can't get enough of it. Phases can last from a few days to a few months. Currently going through an anti-cheese phase. This will change, I just don't know when. And then I'll consume cheese in any form that presents itself. But I prefer non-melted.

  • Item: Burgess is actually a bloody good writer. Item: Hemingway was an arsehole. Put the two together and you have a challenging read .... if you are at all politically correct. Watch out for Burgess' masterly command of the artform of sarcasm. It's illuminating.

  • Hugs. Lots of them. That horrible trap of getting stuck in place where you know quite well what everyone tells you what you ought to feel but somehow it's just not happening. If you think therapy will help, then it's worth a shot imo. It's a great way to sneak up on understanding the real issues. And therapy comes in a lot of different shapes and sizes.

  • Such a lovely warm evening. I have been sitting in my back courtyard, discussing a perfectly ripe avocado, a perfectly ripe brie and crackers with a glass of crisp cold white wine. To follow is the last gasp of cherry glykos I made last year with some icecream. Life gets no better.

Helth (and vegetables) can happen tomorrow.

  • Second this. Anywhere where there's not many people, and it's clearly visible that you are NOT being attacked. I would not recommend the reception area of your local police station cos screaming there could be misconstrued.
