In my experience, it's the people who go around calling other people dumb who turn out to be the idiots in the end.

You can't get pissy over someone misgendering you in an anonymous forum, especially if you never told them your gender in the first place. I mean, you can, but it makes you look ridiculous.

I use it to describe wounds e.g., a nasty cut, or a nasty bruise. It's also an appropriate term for something that is nauseating to see or experience.

Fake internet points are not worth this much deliberation. There are so many actual problems in this world you could be worried about, and you've chosen this. Make a different choice, a more impactful choice. You clearly have a good head on your shoulders, if a bit swollen. You should put it to good use.

It apparently varies from state to state if, and when, they can ask that question. It's also worth pointing out that any lawyer worth their salt (like the lawyers who work on behalf of the ACLU) would take steps to see that record erased or limited in how it can be used.

And unless you are completely desperate, why would you work for someone who looks down on you for being arrested for standing up to fascists? Being arrested for that is a badge of honor.

You do realize that Trump is a wuss, right? Again, the only way he can cancel elections is if the states allow him to. They won't. And when they refuse, he'll threaten to send the military and then wuss out like he always does. He has no mechanism for cancelling elections, and he doesn't have the stones to take them by force.

It won't get that far. DC grand juries are refusing to indict for these trumped up charges.

A grand jury would have to indict them, and DC grand juries are hostile to Trump's bullshit. Faith has nothing to do with it.

I know. But they don't want to get rid of the filibuster. The Republicans in the Senate are much less in sync with Trump than House Republicans. Since they're too chickenshit to really stand up to him, the filibuster allows the Democrats to do the work of denying cloture, and Republicans get to avoid the threats that come with openly defying him.

The VP can override the parliamentarian, but the Senate can override the VP's override. And it's worth pointing out that the Senate is very protective of its norms and traditions against outside influence, even now.

God forbid anyone make an account and decide to use it.
