  • I didn't put biracial in my profile, BECAUSE I put transracial there. Do you honestly think I'd forget if I were biracial?! Think about that a sec...

And I'm not a troll. Thank you! :)

  • Must be nice having all that privilege.

I grew up in poverty, I'm biracial, bisexual, poor, uneducated, and my job in public elementary school pays shit--a school by the way, where I deal directly with kids who's school lunches (and breakfasts!) are an issue.

Oh yeah, plus I'm fucking old and face age-discrimination every day.

Yeah, friend, all this privilege is awesome! Funny tho, I thought privilege would be way more awesome. :/

  • I've had my e-scoot for about nine months! Pic here: https://lemmy.world/post/20575626

But for my new commute, the roads aren't as smooth. So I went bigger and got the bike. I have to say the scoot is way more fun so I'll keep it.

  • And I apologize as well.

And hey, we agree on cars. I just bought an e-bike a few days ago, and I've been nearly killed twice already. Fucking drivers, totally ignoring bike lanes. Fuckers.

  • And if you think calling someone names is some line that is crossed I don’t know what to say.

And if you think that calling people names is NOT crossing a line in a forum, then I don't know what to say.

We have different opinions on that. Obviously.

  • Ok, then we're good. See? You say you're sorry, I'll say I'm sorry. And then we can just hate on the people who drive cars like shit. Deal?

  • But it also doesn't make what you said any more true. You gave your opinion. I gave you mine. You called me names. I didn't call you names.

  • I wasn't mad either. So see? We're not mad.

Let's be friends now. I think maybe besties in the future. After the election, maybe? Harris will win, you can relax, etc.

  • I love political drama in the news, yes. And other people do too, that's why it's in the news. That's how news orgs make their money. They report on drama, then get clicks, then get paid.

I'm not scared of Trump. I don't care if he wins (I don't think he will though). I don't like him. I don't like Harris. So again, I like Jill Stein. Even tho I didn't vote for her.

You think it's cringe. Cool. But that doesn't make me a troll. That just makes me a person you are annoyed with. That's a different thing.

  • I wasn't upset though. I replied. You got mad. Now you think I'm a troll. That's what happened. Dude, it's in the link to the conversation. lol

And hey, we are both subbed here, so see? We have something in common. So we can be friends and move on.

  • Cringe to you. But I do love how much drama she's causing. She made the dems so scared they financed a fucking commercial about there. I'm all for anything that shakes up the status quo.

You seem to be seeing "cringe" everywhere you look. That's a "you" problem, not a "me" problem, friend. Thank you! :)

  • You insulted me without provocation. I responded. Now you call me a troll. Dude, that's what's happening here. But this isn't really the thread for that. I came here talking about a bike rack. You came here to call me a troll.

Or were you here looking at bike racks too? And we just mysteriously crossed paths here?

  • You were saying shiity things out of the gate.

No, you THOUGHT what I said was shitty. But it wasn't directed to you. And I didn't think it was shitty. YOU think it's shitty. And that's your right. But then you called me a name.

So yeah, let's use your scenario. You're walking down the street, you hear someone yelling what you think is ignorant shit, and you call them cringe. Then they stop, turn around and defend themselves to you, and then you say they are mean and shouldn't have said that.

You are the one playing victim here, not me. You said I was a troll because I responded to your insults.

How about you don't insult people just because you don't agree with what they said?

I have never called you names. You have called me names.

You think that's cool. I don't think it's cool and I think it weakens your argument.

  • So you insulted me first. Right out of the gate. So no man, I don't think you can insult someone, then get mad and call them a troll if you are the one that started the argument. Sorry, man, you're not gonna change my mind on that.

And I'm not gonna change your mind. That's ok. But I never insulted you or called you names. But you called me a name. Right off the bat.

  • Yep, doesn't change the facts tho. And doesn't change that fact that there are plenty of other people who'll be voting third party as well. Name calling may not be the best way to approach things. But you do you. Thanks! :)

  • I'm allowed to vote for whoever I want to. As are you. Thank you! :)
