  • Because even tho more disagree with me, that doesn't matter, because I'm not running for president. It's the ones who disagree with the idea of there only being two parties, that the Democrats need to worry about--not me. Thanks!

  • You're free to believe whatever you want about my motivations. Not my concern. Modlog and my post log are public and I've posted direct links to both several times. Thank you! :)

  • Sure, but I'm not running for prez and I'm not creating ads against others who are.

  • Yep, I did vote for her. Sent in the ballot yesterday. I've never denied it. You've posted about it several times and each time I've not only admitted it, but said I was happy and proud to. Not sure why you keep posting it. You're free to do that, but I've already made a post about it: https://lemmy.world/post/20821124

BTW, you might want to be careful spamming more comments with copy/paste nonsense - you already had a bunch removed today for just that reason.

    Here's the modlog: https://lemmy.world/modlog/1252

My comments were answering someone who was copying/pasting the same comment about me several times in a row. So I answered each one. Mine were removed and his comments were removed too. Funny how you left that part out. But here ya go:

  • There are other candidates besides Stein though.

  • You gave me a definition of obligation. I point out that not everyone feels voting is an obligation. Thank you! :)

  • Not everyone feels it's an obligation. Plenty of people don't vote. I did though. Thank you! :)

  • Well there are enough people who believe in my "nonsense logic," that it's causing Democrats to be scared. Oh well. Thanks! :)

  • They are worried that enough people don't agree with them and will vote third party. They even made an ad about it. Thank you! :)

  • I didn't vote for Trump though. Thank you!

  • No one has to vote either. Not everyone has the same morals as you. Thanks! :)

  • Well Dems are definitely worried that enough people will vote for her that it'll cause them problems. They even started an ad campaign against her! LOL

So like I said originally, "looks like lots of people disagree with you." If there weren't lots of people disagreeing with you and voting third party, then you'd have nothing to worry about. Thank you! :)

  • And obviously not many really think that, or Stein would actually be a viable candidate.

Well then you guys and the Democratic Party have nothing to worry about! Right? So no stress. Thank you! :)

  • Exactly this. I have pretty much the same exact story from that same time frame! Now my house is paid off, so I'm glad they didn't tempt me.

  • Yeah, it sucks, but honestly, this has been happening for a long time now. Way before current president, last one, one before that, and one before that. lol

People have always bought stuff they can barely afford.

When I bought my house, I waited until I could get something that wouldn’t take up more than 30% of my after-tax income. I found a small fixer-upper in a nice neighborhood, and everyone thought I was crazy for not getting something bigger.

Now my house is paid off, and they’re still stressing over their bigger, more expensive homes. Now to be honest, my house still kind of a piece of crap. Some rooms still have 1970's wood paneling. No granite countertops for me. But fuck that noise, now that it's paid off, I don't owe anyone shit.

Times are tough, no doubt, but people make mistakes whether the economy is good or bad.

  • Yep, I voted for her. Ballot was sent in yesterday. Thank you! :)
