For any Zsh/tab-completion enthusiasts out there, my project zpy contains a pipx clone, pipz, which also works well.

I don't think I saw Xournal++ (AKA Xournalpp) mentioned yet, which has helped me once or twice.

Here in New York City folks were distributing free bagels to the homeless. Out of concern for the food safety aspect of it all, our government helpfully disrupted the work and dumped bleach over the bagels to protect the needy from potentially unsafe food.

When the authorities finished their good work, the hungry folks proceeded to eat bleach-tainted bagels.

Governments don't need to be red to do awfully stupid awful things.

I think Arch+aconfmgr+yadm+btrfs == a pretty solid arrangement.

Though I'm of course itching for first class Bcachefs support...

I haven't, at least not in years if I ever did. I didn't start enjoying Plasma until 4, and I have a feeling I'd miss a whole different set of features going "back" to a 3-style desktop. Do you actually use it daily?

Many of us don't praise or want titlebars controlled by apps individually, and there are more reasons to keep them separate than just backward compatibility, FWIW.

But if you haven't checked it out lately, you may want to look at the MauiKit/Nitrux stuff.

Is anyone supporting my old Nexus 9 tablet? I'd love to flash anything supported there.

I have used Clementine and Strawberry, great projects, but unfortunately I no longer have my old music collection, and rely on streaming services these days.

No doubt p10k is excellent, and the dev knows what he's doing and helps others a lot.

I will also miss:

• khotkeys
• plasma theme icons

• some task switchers, I think

I'm skeptical that ALL the functionality will be recreated. We'll see.

Material Files at least has a search that seems to work, but it doesn't clearly show all the result paths at once.

If you can mount the filesystem to your computer, you could use broot or anything you want from there.

I agree with all this except the "one time payment" is only good for three years of updates.

There are many disagreeing takes on everything from folks who identify as anarchist, but "no government" doesn't mean "nothing the government does should be done at all."

Instead the idea is to foster organization of society such that relationships of domination are minimized. Some frame this as the development of a much more active and empowered "civil society" of negotiation, production, and problem solving that, in its approach, is fundamentally at odds with and hampered by the authority-oriented organizational model of government.

And the notion of direct action emphasizes the difference between petitioning representatives to change the world on one hand, with taking up responsibility for action and organization yourself on the other.

I use broot all the time and appreciate that xplr is more plugin oriented or flexible is some ways, but don't really feel I need more than broot so haven't given xplr a proper try.

As you use both, would you say there's a particular feature or task that has you reaching for xplr over broot?
