Yeah, but that turns into more of an Altered Carbon situation, where it’s not really a secret, it’s just so expensive only the mega rich can afford it.

See, the problem with all of these insane conspiracy theories is: who would want to do that? Why would anyone do that for any reason? Especially considering that, if they went public with the technology, they could make, like, a kajillion dollars.

These people watch too many James Bond movies where the villain wants to destroy the world. I’m always like, “dude, you live on the world!“

I can only imagine that, in 60 or 75 years, when they play these news reels as part of some sort of historical documentary in elementary and high schools, the teachers are going to have to explain what a furry is. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

The real estate belongs to the United States government. Trump, of course, has already said he wants to build a hotel/casino there.

Edit: oops, my mistake. The city of New York donated the land to the UN, on which they built the complex. It is considered international territory. Something I did not know.
