  • People think this is a personal attack. It's not (unless this guy actively supports his government). It's sad that people suffer because of their government actions? Yes. Is it necessary? As a symbolic act of protest against a regime you don't support, also yes.

  • Not a pilot, so of course I don't know the kind of pressure in the cabin, but I would've guess it was normal?

Like I wouldn't exxpect someone to be 100% vigilant 100% of the time, especially in long duration flights. That's why there's two pilots, if you are ona clear sky, no turbulence, perfectly calm conditions, I wouldn't see much of a differrnce in them relaxing and chatting over coffee or just a 15 minutes power nap (not on 1 and a half hours long journey of course)

  • If you sell me a 2" by 4" board, you cut it 2"+the width of the sawblade, just like the metric boards are sold.

    Also is a saw really 1/2" wide? That's like 1.27cm, that's wild.

If you really really cannot sell a true 2"x4" at the price of a 1.5" x3.5", just keep the same price and call it what it is.

  • There is no sensible reason to sell something as a dimension before it's ready to sell, a 2"x4" should be so when sold, not when curing, it takes nothing to cut oversize to accomodate for shrinkage, or to cure and cut later at the right dimension

  • Even if you are being productive in task Y, you are still procrastinating X while doing Y, assuming X should be done before Y, if they have to be done by the same deadline it's not procrastinating

  • Probably some guy working on legacy hardware found a bug, fixed it for work and while was there, pushed it.

Or you know, some other guy with a lot of free time dusted off some old cards and wanted to play with them.

  • Not only the content doesn't exist yet, it's just not practical. Even now 4k broadcasting is rare and 4k streaming is now a premium (and not always with a good bitstream, which matters a lot more) when once was offered as a cost-free future, imagine 8k that would roughly quadruple the amount of data required to transmit it (and transmit speee is not linear, 4x the speed would probably be at least 8x the cost).

And I seriously think noone except the nerdiest of nerds would notice a difference between 4k and 8k.
