I don't give a shit about having a remake but it's not always about just mind blowing graphics. It can be about accessibility, quality of life changes, adjustments and new content.
The diablo 2 remake is cool because it was getting more and more difficult to run the original on new hardware. They even added new rune words and sets I think, which is nice.
Is this true? The series has had sequence breaks both intentional and otherwise in every game. I don't think they parched the ones out of Dread either.
I don't think the actual act of serving is all that bad, it becomes less serious when everyone has to do it, however it does go against principles of the country and truly being free. The US has one of the best and largest all volunteer military and that should be something to celebrate, not be moan.
That being said we celebrate that all the damn time, probably a little too much, honestly.
It sucks going to the movies, at least for me, so that doesn't help. Then the movie trailers themselves are spammed at me in all forms of media like a pop song getting worm out on the radio. I'm interested in seeing the Deadpool Wolverine movie but there are so many dumb ads about it that I'm already a little turned off now.
No, really, if you understood how the language models work, you would understand it's not really intelligence. We just tend to humanize it because that's what our brains do.
There's a lot of great articles that summarize how we got to this stage and it's pretty interesting. I'll try to update this post with a link later.
I think LLMs are useful (and fun) and have a place, but intelligence they are not.
